A few Oscar pre-show thoughts

I like Anne Hathaway’s sparkly, fish-scaley dress. She looks lovely.

But I think he had to bite back a few critical comments. Esp. about Amy Adams’ necklace. What was that? And with that red dress? ::shakes head::

I’m not crazy about Kate Winslet’s dress–I think I’m getting tired of "the Wilma" look already, but her hair is perfect.

Miley Cyrus needs someone to give her advice.

Angelina’s head looks fierce, but I think her black dress is kind of boring. Especially for her. Why is she wearing boring stuff lately? She’s wild and amazing and scary. Her clothes should reflect that, or at least frame it.

Speaking of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, could the announcers/reporters BE more fawning regarding those two? Good grief–they’re beautiful and fun to watch but not divine.

And speaking of divine, Meryl Streep and her daughter are too cute, and they both look gorgeous and classy.

Whoa, Penelope Cruz’s dress is 60 years old? That’s amazing. That’s a beautiful design.
